Welcome to TherapyBiz Blog

Hello, and welcome to the opening of TherapyBizBlog.  This blog is dedicated to helping all professional behavioral health providers who want to grow their practice.  Whether you are not yet licensed but contemplating how you will begin a practice, just starting your own practice, or are an experienced private therapist seeking to expand or re-purpose your practice, the TherapyBizBlog is intended to provide you with ideas  and issues pertinent to three basic aspects of a private psychotherapy practice:

  • Therapeutics – clinical concerns, questions and suggestions.
  • Practice Management – office management, personnel issues, interns, forms and general practice issues.
  • Marketing – advertising, networking, publishing and public speaking.

No matter your stage of practice development, you are invited to submit short articles that address any of the above topics, or a topic that you believe will be helpful to other practitioners.

Submitting and article for inclusion in the TherapyBizBlog will benefit you in several ways:

  • You posting will include your therapy practice contact information, allowing readers to make referrals.
  • You may submit a short piece as often or as infrequently as you like, eliminating the pressure of opening your own personal private practice blog.
  • A “hyperlink” to your website will be included in each of your postings, allowing readers to make 1-click to go directly to your website.
  • Placing a link to your website on another blog or website means that search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) will rank your site higher, and make it easier to find.  It is an important part of Search Engine Optimization.

Send your blog submissions to:  John Nickens PhD, at e/mail address jnphd@earthlink.net

Submissions will be reviewed for content compatibility and readability, and you will be notified of the decision regarding publication.

Thank you for your interest.  I hope you will subscribe to the TherapyBizBlog and join us in learning to grow our business skills to achieve our ideal private practice.
